In the Afterlife

In the after life

Is when my life will truly begin.

I will swim with mermaids 

While listening to their peaceful songs.

How the little me would love to see 

The secrets the world hides in clear view.

I would fly with vampires

Hanging upside down to see the world from my rear view.

A place where Golden retrievers could speak their feelings

Where I could confide and tell them mine. 

When asked what heaven might be

My answer is what we wish to experience 

In real time.

With lions and lioness 

Chimps and ocelots

Butterflies and bumble bees

Quokkas and talking trees

The moment my eyes close eternally

Is certainly when my life will begin.

I will bring fantasy to life

To live the way I always wished to live.
